We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and results-oriented Junior Marketing and Sales Officer to join our team in Addis Ababa. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or an individual with limited experience who is eager to kickstart their career in both marketing and sales. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our marketing campaigns, assist in sales activities, help manage client relationships, and contribute to our brand visibility and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Support:
Assist in developing and preparing marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, flyers, and digital content for social media and email campaigns.
Support the execution of online marketing efforts, including scheduling social media posts, assisting with email newsletter distribution, and basic website content updates.
Conduct basic market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
Help coordinate and participate in promotional events, trade shows, and client engagement activities.
Assist in tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of various marketing initiatives.
Sales Support:
Identify and generate new sales leads through online research, networking, and initial outreach.
Support the preparation of sales proposals, presentations, and quotations for prospective clients.
Assist the sales team in managing customer accounts, scheduling meetings, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Handle initial customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing basic information and directing them to the appropriate sales representative.
Follow up with potential and existing clients to gather feedback and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
Customer Engagement:
Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.
Work to understand customer needs and communicate value propositions effectively.
Administrative & Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on sales activities, lead generation, and basic marketing campaign performance.
Assist in data analysis to identify areas for improvement in sales and marketing strategies.
Learning & Development:
Actively engage in learning about the company's products/services, target markets, and industry best practices.
Shadow senior marketing and sales personnel to gain practical experience and deepen understanding.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Communications, or a related field. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in marketing, sales, customer service, or an administrative role. Internship experience will be considered.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Basic familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
Language: Fluency in Amharic and strong proficiency in English (both written and verbal) are essential. Knowledge of other local Ethiopian languages is a plus.
