Manage and coordinate a wide range of network administration duties including installations, configuring, debugging, maintenance, upgrading, and the like.
Coordinate the processes of evaluating, testing, and installing all networking infrastructures and related hardware and systems.
Manage installation, administration, and maintenance of server and related software, and operating systems.
Coordinate effective implementation of local area network and wide area network programs to ensure connection of branch offices with the head office.
Ensure implementation of training that will increase skills for using IT infrastructure.
Monitor proactively the functionality of all network devices, services, and ensure that problems are corrected on time.
Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.
Coordinate with the MIS staff team to develop, implement, test, and maintain data recovery plans.
Work closely with the MIS staff team members to provide end-user support and solve problems without delay.
Keep updated about vendors of network related hardware for easy procurement and maintenance of IT infrastructures.
Research, evaluate and recommend network hardware and associated software for in-house development and to facilitate procurement efforts.
Develop access policy to ensure security and proper use of IT networks.
Plan for future networks and servers, and provide budgetary information to the Manger MIS as needed.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging hardware and software technologies.
Conduct employee performance appraisal periodically to evaluate how well employees have completed their duty and to take any needful action accordingly.
Prepare performance reports for submission to the Manager MIS.
Education and Experience
MSc or BSc in Information Technology or Computer Science.
8 years for BSc graduate, and 6 years for MSc in relevant role.
Proven experience in network administration.
Proficient in Microsoft windows and applications.
Required Skills
