Provide legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of construction-related issues, including contract negotiation, drafting, and interpretation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
Review and analyze construction contracts, subcontracts, and other legal documents to identify potential risks and liabilities.
Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, related to construction disputes.
Advise on and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing the construction industry, including building codes, environmental regulations, and labor laws.
Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in construction law and regulations.
Develop and deliver training programs to company personnel on legal issues related to construction projects.
Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.
Manage and oversee legal documentation related to construction projects.
Prepare and review legal correspondence, including demand letters, notices, and pleadings.
Advise on insurance and bonding requirements for construction projects.
Participate in project meetings and provide legal guidance on project-related matters.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
BA Degree in Law.
Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Lawyer, specializing in construction law.
Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and administration within the construction industry.
