Job Description

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of import/export specialists, delegating tasks, providing guidance, Develop and implement team goals and objectives aligned with company strategic goals. 

• Manage all aspects of import and export processes, including sourcing, procurement, documentation, customs clearance, shipping, and logistics. 

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and company policies.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, customers, and transportation providers. 

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with international partners, ensuring favorable terms and conditions. 

• Monitor and control import/export costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving measures. 

• Identify and assess potential risks associated with import/export activities, implementing mitigating strategies to minimize potential disruptions and financial losses. 

• Stay abreast of changing regulations, trade policies, and potential economic and geopolitical risks impacting international trade. 

• Continuously analyze and improve import/export processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.

• Implement technology solutions and digital tools to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy. 

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for import/export activities, ensuring consistency and clarity. 

• Prepare regular reports on import/export performance, including key metrics such as volume, cost, lead times, and compliance. 

• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations for strategic decision-making.
