Develop and implement import plans to meet organizational needs.
Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
Oversee the customs clearance process, including documentation preparation and customs compliance.
Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange shipping and logistics.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with import operations.
Ensure adherence to import regulations, customs laws, and USAID rules and regulations.
Monitor import costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Transportation, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience for a Bachelor's degree or 6 years for a Master's degree.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong knowledge of customs regulations, and experience with international NGOs.
Required Skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Fluency in English and Amharic.
