Job Description

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Ensure strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights into financial performance.

• Reconcile petty cash transactions and ensure accuracy of associated reports and forms.

General Ledger Maintenance

• Maintain a meticulously organized general ledger and chart of accounts.

• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the accounting software.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.

• Reconcile account balances and bank statements on a monthly basis.

• Provide mentorship and support to junior accounting staff.

Tax Compliance

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations.

• Ensure timely submission of all tax filings.

• Collaborate with external tax advisors on complex tax matters.

Internal Controls and Audits

• Develop and implement robust internal control policies and procedures.

• Coordinate and support external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

• Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

• Oversee collections efforts and address any discrepancies.

Payroll Processing

• Supervise payroll processing activities and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

• Verify and reconcile payroll reports and related accounts.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other financial tasks as assigned by management.
