Seeking a talented and creative Product Designer (20-30 hrs./week) to lead user-centric design initiatives. Responsibilities include creating user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, applying usability principles, maintaining brand identities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role entails staying updated with design trends, gathering user feedback, and ensuring design quality and alignment with user requirements.
Responsibilities:
Lead user-centric product design initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
Solid experience in creating user flows, journey maps, storyboards, process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and other related artifacts in the product design workflow.
Proficient with industry-standard design tools; For example: Figma, Photoshop, Sketch, and alike
Apply usability and human-computer interaction principles to prioritize user satisfaction and gather insights through usability testing and research.
Create intuitive navigation structures and engaging interactions by employing expertise in information architecture and interaction design.
Implement visual design elements while maintaining brand identities and adhering to design principles.
Stay updated with design trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain design excellence.
Collaborate and communicate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
Follow an iterative design approach and create a flexible and convenient design review and feedback loop to ensure alignment throughout product development.
Gather and analyze user data and feedback to inform design improvements and validate design decisions.
Maintain design assets, conduct collaborative design reviews, and communicate design concepts effectively to stakeholders.
Collaborate with development teams to bring designs to life and iterate based on user feedback and testing results.
Assess design risks, apply mitigation strategies, and ensure attention to detail and alignment with user requirements through thorough design evaluations.
A minimum of 3 years of experience.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Product Lifecycle Understanding: Demonstrated expertise in guiding design initiatives throughout a product's lifecycle.
Design Tools Proficiency: Mastery of design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, etc., for creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
UCD and HCI Principles: Extensive knowledge and application of User-Centered Design (UCD) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles.
Usability Testing and User Research: Experience in conducting usability testing and user research to gather insights and validate design decisions.
Information Architecture and Interaction Design: Proficiency in crafting intuitive information architectures and engaging interaction designs.
Brand Identity Integration: Ability to seamlessly integrate brand identity elements into designs, fostering brand recognition and loyalty.
Visual Design Elements Implementation: Expertise in applying visual design elements such as layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
Design Principles Application: Proficiency in applying design principles like grid systems, gesture, and interaction design, and emphasis on focal points.
Cultural Design Considerations: Understanding and application of Cultural Design principles to accommodate diverse cultural preferences and differences.
Accessibility Standards Adherence: Knowledge and experience in adhering to accessibility standards like WCAG, A11y, or ADA compliance to ensure inclusivity in design.
Familiarity with Agile: Has hands-on experience or strong understanding of the Agile software development process
