Job Description

We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company. You will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete accounting cycle for assigned construction projects, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job costing.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, project cost reports, variance analyses, and cash flow projections.

• Review and approve invoices from vendors and subcontractors.

• Process payroll for construction site employees.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely payments.

• Assist with tax preparation and compliance.

• Manage construction project budgets and identify potential cost overruns.

• Monitor project profitability and performance metrics.

• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records by GAAP.

• Prepare financial statements for the company and project owners.

• Stay up-to-date on construction accounting regulations and best practices.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
